A newcomer to Boston's art community, Jeff Hayes began painting relatively late, at age 30. He would spend the next half
dozen years intently developing his skills and expression, all the while continuing a career as a software engineer. Although
self-taught, he goes to great effort to continually study the art of past masters, and takes pride and satisfaction in creating
modern work as part of the 500 year tradition of fine oil painting.
He made his debut exhibition in September 2004,
and the work immediately generated an enthusiastic response from artists, art lovers, and collectors alike. In addition to
showing work in a growing number of galleries, he exhibits monthly out of his studio in Boston's South End. For more information,
